Homebrewing for Beginners
Saturday April 22nd 11am-3pm

Join us for the Homebrewing for Beginners class for a hands on demonstration of the basics. At the end of the class you will have the knowledge to confidently begin brewing at home. Attendees will learn the critical skills needed to create a batch of beer including boiling, adding hops, chilling, sanitizing, and pitching yeast. The class will also learn how to bottle a 5 gallon batch of beer including adding priming sugar, sanitizing bottles, crimping crowns, and bottle conditioning. Attendees will also take home a detailed outline to walk you through all of  the key steps.

Going to All Grain
Saturday May 13rd 11am-2pm
Cost: $50

The Going to All Grain class offers a hands on demonstration of the all grain brewing process. At the end of the class you will have the knowledge to confidently begin brewing all grain batches at home. Attendees will learn about milling grain and different grain mill options, mash tun designs, batch and fly sparging techniques, hot liquor tank design, vorlauf, and lautering. The class will also learn how to calculate strike temperatures, strike and sparge volumes, mash efficiency, perform a starch conversion test, and measure pH. Attendees will take home a detailed outline to walk you through all of the key steps.
